Bentonville's newest attraction opened Wednesday, July 15, 2015 to a very enthusiastic crowd. This interactive learning museum features 50,000 square feet of exhibit, meeting, and learning spaces that enhance family involvement while evoking a sense of curiosity and discovery through hands-on-activities. Exhibits include the Hershey's Lab, the Market, Art Studio, Canopy Climber, Lift-Load-Haul, Cloud Theater, Water Amazement, Homestead Cabin and Farm, Cave, Nickelodeon Play Lab and much more. No admission free for kids two and under. Admission for adults and kids is $9.50. Hours of operation are Monday & Wednesday 10a.m.-7p.m. Thursday-Saturday 10a.m.-5p.m., Sunday 1p.m.-5p.m.. Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art
In the first 4 1/2 months of its opening, Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art hosted over 160,000 visitors from around the world. The Museum takes its name from a natural spring on the structure's wooded site that feeds into the Museum ponds and from the unique bridge construction incorporated into the building design. Renowned architect Moshe Safdie is the building designer and he was selected for his commitment to architecture that responds to human needs and aspirations and is informed by the geographic, social, and cultural elements that define a place.

The Walmart Museum underwent major renovations in 2010-early 2011. The grand re-opening celebration was held on May 21, 2011 surrounded by tons of excitement by the press as well as Walmart associates and patrons. The remodeled center includes interactive, hands-on displays and unique exhibits detailing the history of Walmart and the Walton family. Join us this year for the museum's 25th anniversary. 21C Museum Hotel opened in February 2013. Located on the northeast corner of the downtown square and a short walk to Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, 21c Museum Hotel welcomes both visitors and members of the community to experience its rotating exhibitions, participate in its programs and enjoy its culinary offerings. The Peel Mansion & Heritage Gardens is a beautiful Civil War era home that is available for tours as well as events. This villa tower Italianate mansion was built by Colonel Samuel West Peel, and he and his wife Mary Emaline Berry Peel raised their nine children here.

The Museum of Native American History is touted as having one of the most comprehensive collection of Native American artifacts in the south. The museum will undergo an expansion in fall 2011 to accommodate its growing collection. This museum is a must see!

The Crystal Bridges Trail is a shaded 1.5 mile multi-use trail which ambles along the western edge of Crystal Bridges 120 acre museum park. Trail highlights include beautiful sculpture as well as the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art overlook.

Compton Gardens and Conference Center is the home of Dr. Neil Compton, physician and naturalist, who is credited as the savior of the Buffalo National River. The 6.5 acre park features the conference center which is available for meetings, seminars, retreats, weddings, etc. and the native woodland garden is quickly becoming a regional destination and is available for tours and events as well as film and commercial photo shoots.
